What are Podcasts?
Podcasting is simply using the internet to upload digital audio files and then allowing people to subscribe to your audio files for later consumption. An interesting way I saw it described was like combining blogging and MP3 audio.
History of Podcasting
Podcasting pretty much got its start in 2005 with iTunes podcasts. It has now evolved to be found on many different platforms including Spotify and Amazon Echo. Now anyone can make a podcast and upload it for others to listen to.
